Glass Aquariums

For many years, glass aquariums were the standard in tank manufacturing. There are some inherent benefits to glass, which makes it a strong alternative to acrylic. Glass does not scratch as easily as acrylic making it ideal for high traffic areas (especially in the workplace). Glass also dissipates heat more rapidly than acrylic, which is a great advantage in situations where chilling units can not be employed. Although acrylic is more flexible, glass can be shaped in some remarkable ways. It all comes down to what works best for you and the environment that surrounds your aquarium.
